On the Sunday just passed I attended a fairly local event in Scotland, Play Expo Glasgow. Scotland has always been a hub for game developers, with deep roots in game development history. Such as the original, and continued, development of Grand Theft Auto. Last year, I attended Resonate Insomnia and its great to see more gaming events popping up!

Halo Wars 2 has received quite a warm welcome to the Xbox market from competitive and casual players. Halo is one of those franchises that has a die-hard fan base with the Spartan as a symbolic icon for the series. However, you can't play the original trilogy without fearing the Flood.

The original Call of Duty games on PC knocked off the then leaders of war games Medal of Honor off the top spot. Call of Duty then pursued a futuristic direction, but if Battlefield 1 is anything to go by, the market has changed.

So here is the multiplayer reveal for Call of Duty WWII that features all manner of weaponry, vehicles and of course, some bloody trench shovel warfare (it was bows a couple years ago, now is the age of the shovel).

I can't tell you how many years I have been waiting for a Monster Hunter title to come to console. The series has always been a favourite of mine for its co-operative based action, RPG crafting system and challenging quests. And now, Monster Hunter World is coming to consoles, and it looks better than ever.
