NHL games usually have a hardcore following in the UK, where Ice Hockey is not one of the most popular sports but it does have more of a cult status around the country. The NHL is big money business in the U.S of A and with that means a lot of lucrative deals and avenues in which they can gain revenue from more people.
In step EA Sports and here we have a yearly iteration of another sports franchise, I will say at this moment I have not played a NHL game ever to my knowledge and I am in no way insulting or making fun of anyone who does play them. I would like to go on record and say of all sports I feel Ice Hockey would be one that I would watch if I were to watch any sport.

Today people can download the Beta for free for the upcoming EA Sports NHL 18 from the Microsoft store by simply clicking right here.
You will be able to get to grips with the new Creative Attack controls, the first ever Defensive Skill Stick and the new 3-on-3 NHL Threes mode in this beta.

Another year, another Fifa. So what's different about this years?

Quite a few things actually. Fifa 17 has quite a few changes such as The Journey and changes to the favourite Ultimate Team, as well as changes to the gameplay. So to make things easier I'm going to review each part separately. We'll start the journey with The Journey (see what I did there).

It is Tuesday and we all know (or I would hope by now) that the announcement for the current weeks Deals with Gold were announced today. Straight from the blog of Mr Larry Hyrb, better know as Major Nelson, posted the current weeks deals earlier on today.

There is a focus on certain EA sports games on both platforms, overall the selection this weeks is very underwhelming and not really anything I would personally get excited about. As always the following offers are only available to Xbox Live Gold subscribers. Lets take a look at the offers -

Well, this was an unexpected expected announcement. We all knew that EA Sports UFC 2 was going to be a thing, and we had a fair idea that it would be a 2016 release. What was unexpected was that the game's first official gameplay trailer would reveal a surprisingly close release date of March 17th (March 15th in the United States).

FIFA 16 burst onto our consoles a few months ago, and just like each FIFA title previous it has been a huge success for its creators EA Sports.

It can prove tricky to put a finger on what exactly keeps us coming back year after year for what could arguably be said to be a similar game from the previous title before. I along with millions of other gaming footy fans around the world get excited about what new features will be announced on the run up to such a release. Hoping that the problems and annoying glitches will be a thing of the past this time round compared to the previous year.
