With Halloween just around the corner it’s natural for our game libraries and developers to turn there gaze onto the horror genre. Blue Wizard Digital is no exception to this rule but they didn't want to release a traditional horror game. Taking inspiration from the golden age of horror, the 80's they have developed a tongue in cheek tribute to classic horror and blended it with a sliding block puzzle game. Of course there were more than just horror classics such as Halloween and Friday the 13th but cheaply made knock offs aimed to fill the reels of drive in's and cinemas to feed the new love for the horror movie epidemic.
Little Nightmares, developed by BANDAI NAMCOEntertainment, is dark grim adventure through an interactive story. You Play as Six, a young yellow raincoat clad girl, lost in the bowels of the Maw, a vessel inhabited by grotesque souls hunting for their next meal. This eerie world brought to life through an incredible sound track, unique art style and plenty of tense moments.

Perception which is advertised as being a narrative driven horror with a twist, the twist being that you are in fact playing as a blind woman.
With the announcement that Perception is coming to Xbox One, Deep End Games have released a new teaser trailer which you can check out below

Just before E3 it's been revealed that Microsoft will unveil two new sequels for Xbox One.
From early details, Dead Rising 4 and State of Decay 2 are set to be revealed at E3.
Dead Rising 4 looks to be a return to the first installment with images of Frank West released in a more Christmas setting of the mall. Not only that, it looks like the player can travel outside the mall and offers up to 4 player co-operative. I enjoyed the first installment and the addition of co-op play will make it so much more enjoyable. In other zombie-esque survival games such as Dead Island, I overlooked a lot of the story because I was too busy finding ways to creatively screw over my friends and I can't wait to try that with Dead Rising 4.
