Blizzard has shared today that it is planning on celebrating Overwatch's first anniversary with a double XP weekendthis coming weekend.
From June 8th till June 12th (9th for us in the UK)every activity on Overwatch will award players with double the experience. Today Blizzard announced the newest map to its 2016 game Overwatch. The Lunar Horizon Colony is making its way to the game sometime in the near future.
The way Blizzard has announced this has come a very different way to how the company usually announces incoming maps & characters (I'm looking at you Sombra). With Sombra, Blizzard teased players for months with various tid bits of information. Which the company released via a complex meta game as well as various ingame lore.
Those of you eagerly awaiting the launch of Blizzard's next character for Overwatch needn't wait much longer. The Anchor-Tank character has been revealed to be coming to the already impressive Overwatch roster on March 21st!
The character has been available to play on the PTS (Public Test Server) for the last few weeks. From what Blizzard has released about Orisa she is going to be quite a powered character and there has been several tweaks to her abilities through patches released on the PTS.
Many people will know the highs and lows of playing Blizzard Entertainment's FPS multiplayer Goliath Overwatch, yet there will be a large amount of people who are either not interested of on the fence. Now is the time for you to find out what side of the fence you fall on, as Overwatch is going FREE-TO-PLAY for a whole weekend on Xbox One.
Starting 9th September at 7pm UK time, then finishing on the 12th September at 11:59pm. During this time Xbox Live Gold subscribers will have access to the game (presumably from your home page to download), along with the full roster of 22 playable Hero's, 13 multiplayer maps and a variety of game modes. Players will also be allowed to keep all the level progression gained, loot crates earned, all customisation options earned and everything else; this is to make sure your free weekend did not go to waste if you decide to go on and purchase the game.
