The XBLG Game of the Year for 2016 was not an easy one to pick, we found there was a vast number of titles we enjoyed playing last year. There was everything ranging from RPG to Driving simulators and a lot in between, when it boiled down to the staff vote though it appeared there was one clear winner.
Titanfall was originally its own biggest enemy, the newest console generation had yet to really take off in full swing and there was a big game coming from a studio with something to prove. When talking to the majority of people just now about the original Titanfall, you will more than likely be met with negative comments and moaning about online only game play. In response I say that is a bloody joke, why are people hammering on at a studio that was delivering a multiplayer experience when in the modern gaming scene most people will only play the online features of Gears 4, COD, Battlefield and so on. Respawn put a little bit of story into the campaign levels of Titanfall and brought gameplay features to the FPS genre that COD and others were soon going to start slapping into their own games like a bastardised Frankenstein monster.
This weekend get ready to test the multiplayer extravaganza that is Titanfall 2. The download is free for the alpha test of the game, be aware that this is a test build of the game and not the final product.
Ea kicked off this years E3 press conference showcase and one of the games they highlighted was Titanfall 2. The Ea show kicked off with Vince Zampella on to talk about the new improvements and gameplay features in the upcoming game.
The first video showed off new features like grappling hooks, teleportation and new offensive attacks for the Titans themselves. The gameplay looks to be more fast paced and aggressive as than the previous title, not to mention that Titans now look as though they can be customised to have personal appearances.
