This War of Mine is a heart breaking a tragic tale of struggle, hardship and morality. The game is based around the survival of a small group of civilians that have banded together and share resources while fighting to keep what they have. This game plays like a strange resource management title with a touch of The Sims. The game requires you to take control and make sure you can cope with the depressing nature and constant struggle that is involved with surviving a war that you are not actually involved in.
Halo has long been Microsoft bestselling FPS Exclusive title game since Bungie created the series back in 2001. The series has since been taken over by 343 industries who started development of Halo 4 back in 2009 and it was released in 2012 on the Xbox 360. This is 343 first fully developed title on the Xbox One and I here you will find out what they have to offer in this latest instalment.
Halo 5: Guardians, the latest instalment continues the story from where Master Chief left off in Halo 4. John 117 has re-joined with his former Blue Team for this new venture and is looking for an old friend while battling against the covenant and the Prometheans (Forerunner Empire). Blue team are Spartans that worked with John 117 in the past and are referred to as family on several occasion throughout the game which gives 343 the opportunity to make prequels which include Blue Team (Take my money!) The game also introduces Team Osiris a group of 4 Spartans that are to hunt for Master Chief. Teams Osiris is led by Spartan Locke a new protagonist whose journey takes up the majority of the campaign missions however Master Chief and Blue Team are never too far away. I am doing my best here to not give any information away on the story as some people may still be waiting to play it. Hopefully we can get a member of our team to cover the story in detail after the New Year.
It can be said that the only things guaranteed in life are death and taxes. That phrase could also be extended to include any number of recurring video game titles. Call of Duty, Assassin's Creed, Halo, you name it. As long as there's a sizeable fan base, you can guarantee the studio will find the time to make another entry.
I have never played a Tour de France title yet nor do I have the slightest notion or understanding as to the ins and outs of competitive cycling. So when le Tour de France landed on my door mat I had two thoughts running through my head, it was either going to be a bugger of a game to master and get to grips with or it would be so simple so as to leave me mindlessly bored. So it was that after a mercilessly short install I sat down to sample the latest iteration of this franchise and honestly I was not expecting much. I was expecting it to be a button mashing extravaganza reminiscent of Track & Field. I was wrong.
