Tom Clancy's: The Division was an extremely fun title if you did not get your hopes too high, many people got built up in the hype of the game and took a disliking because their expectations of the game had gotten too much. On the other hand what else have we come to expect from Ubisoft titles, the games are presented in a manner to the public in which they want the game to be as appealing as possible to the widest market.
The game has continued on with a dedicated user base, the daily log in count has dropped from the high volume it received at launch. This is only natural with other titles such as Ghost Recon Wild Lands coming out from the Tom Clancy banner. Though Ubisoft are still supporting the Division and are rewarding their fans with a free map expansion in the 1.8 update titled "Resistance" due for release this Autumn. The Resistance will unlock a large section of the map at the West Side Pier where players will encounter new PvE and PvP modes for the game in the Skirmish and Resistance updates for the title.
The Division has been met with mixed opinions since its release, and yet I still find myself returning to the game from time to time. It is an open world of city blocks and exploration, not to forget many bullets flying in impromptu gun battles in the open. Tomorrow sees the launch of the 3rd expansion to the games campaign, The Last Stand sees players go up against familiar enemies in an unfamiliar territory. New game modes and a new incursion mission await players in this upcoming expansion to the already sizeable game. The best thing is, The Last Stand releases 28th February.
Tom Clancy's The Division made an appearance at Microsoft's E3 press conference with the look at the upcoming Undergrounds DLC. Ubisoft kept some news about the rest of the DLC to announce at their own press conference.
One announcement was that if you are a member of Ubisoft Club and play The Division, in the near future you will have 3 outfits for your character unlocked in the game. The outfits will be based off of Ghost Recon, Splinter Cell and Rainbow 6; that is a lot more Tom Clancy franchise integration.
Ubisoft's press conference started off all singing and dancing ..... well maybe just dancing. The announcement for Just Dance 2017 opened the show alongside the heartfelt and genuine condolences to the massacre in America recently.
Then after a rambling and self indulgent speech from Aisha Tyler we got down to the gritty and got the conference underway with Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Wildlands. This was the trailer that closed last years Ubisoft E3 press conference, after a year of not very much at all we now have a full blown trailer hinting at story hints and the land we are going to be exploring.
The Division has been around for a few moths now, the game has received a number of free updates adding to the end game play and giving players more options on how to get better gear and weapons. During the Microsoft E3 press conference we saw a trailer for the upcoming DLC for The Division that looks to add more to the story and further the size of the games large areas, by expanding underground.
