To celebrate the launch of Forza 6, and the 10 year anniversary of the critically acclaimed franchise, Microsoft have teamed up with Turn 10 to create a Limited edition 1TB Xbox One console.
The console's design is inspired by the new Ford GT that graces the cover of the new game, and comes complete with iconic racing stripes. There are some nice little details to the design also: on the side you will find a little logo denoting the 10 year landmark along with the release date of the very first Forza Motorsport. As well as the aesthetics, Microsoft have included some cool little sound effects to go with the racing theme.
Our first look at Forza Motorsport 6 was frankly, spectacular. Even without being a huge fan of cars, the visuals of this game is just fantastic. We got a good glimpse of the gameplay today, during Microsofts E3 press event.
One of the new features released along side Forza Horizon 2 is the downloadable app called the "Forza Hub". This is very similar to Halo Waypoint and the Call of Duty Elite apps that were available along side their corresponding games. It gives the player an opportunity to check on all the latest news in the Forza world, including releases of DLC and contests.
After the success of Forza Motorsport 5, the next installment of the Horizon franchise has been released. For those of you not familiar with the series, Forza Horizon is an open world racing game, which is a welcomed difference to the sometimes linear older brother of the Forza franchise.
Today saw the announcement that Forza 5 is getting six new free cars to tear around in as well as a range of improvements in a content update. The cherry on the cake of this update is undoubtedly the addition of the Rolls Royce Wraith as this is Rolls Royce's first foray into the world of racing games so it is an auspicious occasion and long may it continue I say.
