With Destiny 2 taking the gaming world by storm is was only natural that Bungie would want to make a sceptical of the first DLC to be coming to the title on the 5th December 2017. To tease the DLC a live stream was help to help show off the DLC content and build excitement for whats to come. The Live stream was held at 7pm GMT on the 15th November and gave us plenty to sink our teeth into.
Curse of Osiris will offer Guardian's a adventure, new activities, new destinations and of course... the loot! Players will also be able to climb to level 25 with this expansion as well as boost there light level to 330. Player's will dive into the back story of Osiris and learn more about the Vex and their master plan. Set a few months after the red war Ikora will send her most trusted Guardian to Mercury to investigate a gate way what has been activated by the wave of light released when the Traveller was reawakened releasing waves of Vex from past, present and future.
With the DLC centring mainly around Mercury it seems the developers wanted to offer a hub for Guardians to gather there so one of the new locations will be the Lighthouse. The Infinite Forest will also be available and players will find a host of missions will take place there. A network of machines located in the core of Mercury the Infinite forest is an ever changing landscape forcing you to fight multiple alien life in unexpected combinations. The pillars within the core, known as trees, act as a simulation for the Vex to travel to different potential realities as well as the past, present and future looking for the best opportunity to execute the plan of eradicating all life in the universe.
Four new characters were introduced during the live stream, Osiris himself who has been put front and centre of the DLC, Sagira the first female ghost we've met, Ikora who makes a return to the story as she searches for ways to become a better leader and lastly Brother Vance who has returned to the Lighthouse to help guide Guardians sen there as well as herald the return of Osiris, the most powerful Warlock to ever live.
Lastly a new mode will be added to Destiny called Raid Lair. This new activity will be set on the Leviathan - Eater of Worlds and will allow Guardians to explore new areas, have new encounters, gain new rewards as well as have the chance to face off against a brand new boss. With 5 guardians in a team you are given the chance to win new guns, armour and cosmetics in this new shorter mode, although there wil be plenty of chanced for you to die over and over again.Last modified on
