With Dishonored 2 being a feature of the Bethesda E3 2015 conference, it was logical to give the original game received a facelift and give it another showing on the Xbox One and current generation consoles. This week will see the release of Dishonored: Definitive Edition, this version of the game has up-scaled graphics and comes with all previous DLC for the game as standard. All previous DLC to date include Dunwall City Trials, The Knife of Dunwall, The Brigmore Witches and Void Walkers Arsenal.
With the haunting sound track and beautiful art style, it will be a pleasure to jump back into a game that I had great anticipation playing first time around. The game did encounter some mixed reviews upon original release, though with an array of Game Of The Year awards to back up the title it can firmly stand on its own two feet.
This is another title to be given an "Next Gen" outing, though it can be seen to be a money grab technique in some peoples eyes. I have reviewed a couple of Next Gen remakes of games and some do come across that way while other games have benefited from a re-release on a higher specification platform. What ever your views, I fully recommend picking this game up for £29.99 ($39.99) if you did miss the game the first time around.
Dishonored: Definitive Edition is out for release 27th August in Australia and New Zealand and 28th August in Europe and North America.Last modified on
