Release Date Confirmed!

Wrap that bandana around your head and prepare yourselves because, it’s finally arrived! The release date for Rambo: The Video Game. But…. Before I disclose this most anticipated piece of information, let’s see what the game has to offer.

The video game is published by the UK based company Reef Entertainment. Rambo: The Video Game will put the players in Rambo’s combat boots and take them on an action packed adventure through iconic action-sequences and story-arcs of First Blood, Rambo: First Blood Part II and Rambo III.The game will feature the original film voice-tracks of John Rambo and Col. Samuel Trautman as well as music from the original Rambo Trilogy.

So, that release date is the 21st February 2014 across Europe, and the release in the US is expected to be early 2014.

A Reef spokesperson said:

'We are delighted to announce the final EU release date for RAMBO ® THE VIDEO GAME and although the main game is now complete our journey with Rambo continues as we will soon start development on the game’s first DLC expansion pack with our partners at Teyon.'

In addition to the release date of 21.04.2014, selected retailers from across Europe will offer one of two limited-edition figurines as pre-order incentives for RAMBO: THE VIDEO GAME. The figurines have been designed and manufactured to the highest standards, giving those avid Rambo fans a once-in-a-lifetime chance to grab a genuine collectible.

The figurines will be offered as pre-order incentives by select retailers, while stocks last, and will not be available for sale separately. Check out this link to see the list of participating retailers.

Compared to games being released this year especially with next gens, I don't think I have ever said to myself all is missing is a Rambo game. They seem to be a good action style for films but don't really see a exciting story game play coming from it. I Could be wrong but looking at the trailer the quality just doesn't seem to be there compared to the trailers being released at the moment. Might be a game to buy when the price drops and then for the money might seem like a game worth trying but I doubt I'll be buying it lol. Each to there own tho

I would have to agree with you. Although I am sure there have been a few Rambo games released way back when, they were a little slow off the mark to make one for consoles of the day. I am sure that the avid Rambo fans will be a little more critical of the gameplay and what not, if it turns out to not live up to the expectations of the films. But, what film related game ever has?

Who doesn't want to be John Rambo?! *points to self*

Don't get me wrong, the films were good and the game looks like it will at least deliver on the action front, but I wouldn't want his looks :P
