A blog for a gaming fan to be able to express it.
A few very important announcements were made at Microsoft's 2016 E3 conference, one of which being the new feature for games, named Xbox Play Anywhere. This will allow upcoming titles that have this feature to be played on both Xbox One and Windows 10, while only purchasing one copy of the game. This saves you money, and allows you to play with a larger community and in different ways. Cross platforming will also be supported by this feature, meaning no one will be left out on Windows 10 nor Xbox One.
An incredible amount of information was also shared regarding the upcoming Xbox One Summer Update. The update will include some of the most fan requested features, such as background music. Other additions include Cortana, not from Halo, but rather the helpful version from the Windows phones. There are also some new ways to socialise with your friends and community. The first being Clubs on Xbox Live, which allows you to create communities, for talking about games, sharing thoughts, and organising game nights. This feature is similar to groups on Steam. The second new way to interact is Looking For Group, which in short allows you to have a display message whenever a player goes onto a certain game. For example "I'm playing Halo 5. Come and join my team and own some noobs." The final major feature is Arena on Xbox Live, which is pretty self explanatory. You can organise tournaments, compete with players across the world, and sign up for any competitive matches that might be happening.
