Call of Duty Elite Ceases to be

As was highlighted by Activision back in October 2013, Call of Duty Elite will be shut down this Friday the 28th February 2014. In its place comes the Call of Duty App, which is meant to consist of all the best bits of Elite and brings with it new elements such as Call of Duty Clan Wars.

Activision is encouraging Call of Duty players to download the App thereby gaining the freedom and ability to customise their multiplayer character and weapon loadouts on the move. It all seems a bit like Battlefield’s Battlelog but then again I suppose it works well so why wouldn’t they emulate it. There does not appear to be any chance of returning to the days of the Elite program so CLICK HERE to go and download this free service which will hopefully inject some life back into the franchise.
