Combining the permadeath of a roguelite, the exploration of a metroidvania, and brutal combat with soul, Dead Cells arrives August 7th on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation®4 and Xbox One, and PC (Win/Mac/Linux).
In Dead Cells there are NO checkpoints, NO extra lives and NO second chances!
In Dead Cells, perseverance, skill, and perhaps a little luck are all that stand between you and certain death in the halls of a sprawling castle. To survive, you’ll need to perfect your weapon skills, learn the ways of your enemies, and explore while carving your own path through an ever-changing world.
Certainly from my initial preview of the game I can safely say Dead Cells looks absolutely gorgeous and although a little tricky, it’s certainly got me hooked already.
Review to follow later!
Available for digital pre-order now, Dead Cells comes to Switch, PS4, PC (Win/Mac/Linux) and on Xbox One on August 7th for £19.99 but you can pre-order it now for £15.99 here.

About Dead Cells:
Dead Cells is a Roguevania action-platformer, allowing you to explore a sprawling, ever-changing castle… assuming you’re able to fight your way past its keepers. To finish the game, you’ll have to master fluid, fast-paced combat with the ever-present threat of permadeath looming. No checkpoints. Kill, die, learn, repeat.
About Motion Twin:
Motion Twin is an anarcho-syndical (seriously) workers cooperative that’s been making games in France since 2001 and they certainly made an impression online last week regarding their NO boss, equal pay, equal say business model. It’s an experiment and an experience according to the guys at http://www.motion-twin.com/
