The main focus of this years Bethesda E3 press conference was the reveal of gameplay footage from a game they teased at last year. Dishonored 2 was the centrepiece of the showcase and although many people at the time were underwhelmed on Twitter and Facebook at the game, it does look very different to the first and a much more established game.
The game will apparently start and end in the original games setting of Dunwall, while the main portion of the game will be taking place within the new location of Karnaca.
While the Dunwall is a dank and depressing land of whaling and aristocracy, Karnaca seems like a much more tropical climate resembling the Caribbean islands almost with a much dryer look around the game.
The gameplay looked stunning, and while the original games protagonist Corvo will be a playable character once again in the sequel; the main focus is of Emily Kaldwin.
Emily is now 15 years older than in the previous game, she is the Empress and ruling her empire with her father and royal protectorate Corvo at her side. Events occur that gift Emily with the same unearthly type abilities her father used in the first game, though Emily’s will all be unique to her.
The first look gameplay trailer was shown off and I do not think it will disappoint fans who have been eagerly awaiting this games release. Along side the game the developers at Arkane Studios also announced the very nice looking special edition of Dishonored 2 features a replica of Corvo’s iconic mask, Emily Kalwin’s empress signet ring, a digital copy of Dishonored Definitive edition, a collectable legacy metal display case and more.
I look forward to getting my hands on this very nice collectors edition on release this November 11th (11/11/16).
