As many people are aware, pre-ordering is still a big thing now days, and the newest addition of the Gears of War franchise isn’t pulling any punches in the pre-order department. The standard edition and the newly announced Ultimate Edition are available to pre-order from the Xbox store, the Microsoft store, and most online and retail gaming stores.
You might be asking, why pre-order, well the answer is simple. If you’re a gears of war fan, or you just like having everything you can in game, then you’ll be interested in grabbing the vintage Del Gear Pack, which is exclusive to pre-orders. This pack includes the Vintage Del character skin, an emblem, two Vintage weapon skins, and a special Vintage Del bounty. If you’re certain you’re getting the game any-ways, then pre-order and get that little bit of extra goodness.
After that the question would be, why would you get the Ultimate Edition over the Standard Edition. It’s a good question. The short answer is, you can save money in the long run, and get a few extra goodies if you get the Ultimate Edition, where as the standard edition is just the standard copy of the game.
As well as having a standard copy of the game included, the extra goodies included in Gears of War 4: Ultimate Edition are as follows:
- The Gears of War 4 season pass.
- A limited Edition steel-book
- Early access to play Gears of War 4 on October 7th 2016 (four days before release)
The season pass alone includes a mass of content and the Ultimate edition is certainlly worth the money at just £79.99. The standard edition will cost £49.99, and the season pass alone will cost £39.99. That’s already a saving, and that’s without the cool extra perks.
A breakdown of any additional info on prices, pre-order bonuses, or the differences in additions can be found on the Gears of War 4 pre-order page.
