Capcom has announced that they are bringing another four classic Mega Man adventures to todays modern consoles.
The Mega Man Legacy Collection 2 will bring updated versions of Mega Man 7, 8, 9 and 10 in one complete package complete with achievement support as well as all the DLC that was released with the accompanied games, such as Proto Man and Bass
Mega Man Legacy Collection 2 will launch on the Xbox on 8th August and will be priced at £14.99. This will be for the digital and physical release.
Just like the previous collection, Mega Man Legacy Collection 2 will feature a wealth of bonus material for fans and newcomers to the series to unlock as they progress through the four games on offer. This will feature concept art, full game soundtracks as well as other production materials that celebrate Mega Man’s rich gaming and media history.
Capcom have also teased the collection will feature updated features that will appeal to both hardcore fans as well as newcomers.
These new modes will be made up of a challenge mode that sees classic stages remixed to give every encounter that “new” feel as well as featuring an online so you can see how you stack up against other players.
The other mode is something called “Extra Armour” which sees Mega Man essentially receive double health, this mode will appeal more to the casual gamer as Mega Man is known to be extremely unforgiving for those of us who like to rush straight in (like myself).
If you want to get up to speed with the complex story of Mega Man, the current legacy collection is available as part of the Xbox One Game Pass which you can read more information here.
