The Surge – First Look

2016 has not really started for the big game releases and yet 2017 looks to have some very intriguing titles indeed. The Surge is a action-RPG hybrid that is set in a dystopian earth nearing the end of its life. This grim vision of the future looks to be not the most original setting but rather a nice take on a setting already explored.

The screenshot released from developer Deck 13, along side some very nice rendered artwork should have some heads turning and putting the game on peoples radars. With not actual footage of the gameplay yet we can simply hope that the end product is worth the wait.

The games protagonist is noticeably equipped with a massive exoskeleton than gives a good idea that whoever the enemies in the game are will certainly overpower a normal human being.
The developer has came out to say that the game will feature innovative combat mechanics and a unique character progression system. This will be interesting to see as RPG games have very similar progression systems, I await further news on this title and we hope to keep you updated with information before the games 2017 release.
