During my time at E3 this year I was lucky enough to attend the Xbox Press Conference. This year the conference was held in the Microsoft Theatre, which was an amazing place and suited the event extremely well. I began queuing up about 3 hours before the conference started, and in the LA heat, perhaps it wasn’t the greatest idea. Three hours later and I was practically a sizzled steak on a BBQ grill. Luckily the heat was soon swept away by the excitement of the doors opening.
Once we’d been let inside the madness began to get a good seat. Luckily I was there very early so It was easy for me to get a near front row seat. After getting to know the people either side of me the countdown began and a trailer started playing. Little did I know that this trailer would be for the franchise that made me the game and writer I am today. I’m talking of course about Halo. My reaction below speaks for itself.
After that Halo reveal there were of course many more talks and many more games revealed, such as Gears of War 5. The atmosphere during the entire conference was filled with passion, love and care for the brand and franchises that many gamers have spent their lives following. Many tweets were made, many people were met. That to me was honestly one of the best things about not just the Xbox briefing but the entire event. E3 is a place to meet people and share your passion for gaming and I can say I did just that. You can check out all the videos I took during the briefing in the full video below.
