Space Hulk: Tactics – Preview

Cyanide Studios, the creators behind the console adaptations of Games Workshops classic board game: Blood Bowl have released details on their next game!

Space Hulk: Tactics is yet another take on arguably Games Workshops most known board game. What info we do know is that players will find themselves commanding a squad of Terminator Space Marines, through turn based combat set within gargantuan space hulks that haunt the 40K universe.

Space Hulk: Tactics will also feature two story driven campaign modes. The first sees us step into the boots of the famous Blood Angels, which will be fully up-gradable with various weapons and equipment. The second campaign let’s the player see the conflict from the side of the vicious Genestealers and the greater Tyranid Brood.
Those familiar with the board games will feel right at home with the updated gameplay which will feature card based tactics. These cards can be used to switch the pace of gameplay to your advantage through game changing abilities.

Cyanide Studios have also promised a multiplayer mode which will allow you to play as a fully customisable Terminator squad from any Space Marine Chapter. Also teased is a map creator for players to create their own maps to be used in the multiplayer component.

Although no concrete release date has been set, expect the game to launch at some point during 2018.
